Hi,

I have read many threads re the above but cannot find a definative answer.

So, which mudguards are the best for my bike, I have bought the Crud 09 which is fine for the rear but doesn't fit the front due to the oversized tube. Also, even if it did fit I think it would interfear with the gears as the cables run on the underside of the frame.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

fat down tube? fwiw had same problem on my boardman. Cycraguard front has displaced a crudguard on mine for the reasons you state, though the crud didn't seem to be affecting anything shifting wise as far as I could tell but it seemed only a matter of time before the o-rings are severed by the gear cables. But it didn't look right either. The Cycraguard stands off from the down tube courtesy of some little spacers. The bands that fit it are fugly though and I'm looking at replacing them with zips or o-rings cos I'm fussy like that.

Am thinking of adding an RRP Neoguard as well after getting some crap in my eye on Sunday.

Thanks, I've ordered them, maybe I won't end up as muddy and wet as I did on Saturday, then again maybe I will.....
