Multi Tool

off for my first cycling experience in Majorca next weekend. Hiring bike there and only travelling with 10kg cabin luggage allowance. Got me thinking about my multi tool. Can anyone let me know if I'll be able to take that in cabin luggage or will it be classed as some sort of weapon

I'd be surprised if they let it through, but check with the airline

nope. will get pulled. mine did when i left it in my jacket pocket before an internal flight from city to aberdeen. i did get it back the next day on the return to city though

Surely the bike hire place will lend you a multi-tool, if you think you need one. When I have hired bikes in Italy, they came with a small tool kit.

When I hired a bike in Majorca last year it came with tyre leavers, pump, spare tube and a basic multi-tool.

You will have to take your own pedals and shoes.
