morning all. think I may need to go back to bed after yesterday's Ikea day with a friend. We spent the entire day in there and didn't get half way around! After an hour we were still within 25m of the front door and this place does not have an upstairs!
I still have many more trips needed to there.

My daughter requested I pick her son up from the school, but failed to tell the school. At the school my grandson was asked what my name was but he said he didn't know. So school had to ring daughter to check. I should point out that my SiL is a programmer, so his son may follow in his footsteps.

In earlier news, I put my lunch on in the tagine on a very low gas and went out, as did the gas.

I have finished sorting some of the garage, and putting up some new shelving. I also cut the grass at the front of the house. I then took Mrs. GA to lunch at an Italian Restaurant. Then we went to Target(Dayton-Hudsons) and got home. I made a dinner of soba noodles, vegetables, and an egg roll. I am mainly Irish on my Fathers side, with a smattering of Dutch, and my Mother was Bavarian/Yorkshire/GKW, but it's America so okay. Now, I'm all caught up.(Sorry, I was watching Bloomberg Finance all afternoon about Brexit) Oh, and sorry about the delayed Bromptonification of @Hill Wimp

You can usually sneak into IKEA from the car park by going into the Returns Department through the external door. Then you walk through the checkouts in the wrong direction, and rummage around in the heavy stuff stacked on the high-bay shelves. It saves a good forty five minutes dodging the random walks of transfixed consumers.

It's pouring down on the beach. I bet you are all pleased. Looks like it has been doing it most of the night too.

I still need to have chosen the contents of the house first though and Ikea in Australia don't have the same stock as Ikea in the UK. It's the little things like upgrading the slats on the bed for my back... In the UK we were able to upgrade the slats to ones which we could adjust the tension on and adjust according to back, hips or shoulders having different hardness levels. Here they looked at us blankly when we described the slats. Even the Sydney stores (note plural) don't have that as an option. So I have to talk to the Ikea staff first sadly. And then there is the little fact that only the Canberra store does not have the hire a van by the hour option to get your stuff home.... Ahhhhh

Oh well. Sooner or later my OH is going to have to accept that we need a trailer for the SUV we have just bought. It's make wood collection easier.
