Thunderstorm here. No sour grapes or anything but I hope Mr Hop gets bloody wet on the way back from the pub. Two and a half hours ago we were supposed to be having lamb chops. I am now eating toast. Grrrr.

I have managed to save 2/3 of my Buddleia. It's going to be in flower soon. My mock orange, in full flower and smelling fab, was decimated. Me... it's in full flower, did you not think to ask? Him.... I assume everything in the garden is a weed.
I gave my perennial sunflowers their second prune of the year today, I have to prune them twice a year, if I didn't they would be a danger to low flying aircraft.
Evening all, my fellow Guiders and I took 42 Guides to the Big Gig today. It was awesome and now I am knackered! Daughter picks up her new bike tomorrow, she has been out on her old one since she fell off but she is afraid that every slight bump she hits will mean she falls off again. I am hoping to she will come with me on a quick 5 miler tomorrow to start building her confidence back up.

Give me a minute or two, just finishing off my after dinner coffee - quite proud of dinner if a little mixed up - spaghetti with bacon (end of a packet), first of this year's broad beans, mushrooms and left over pearl barley! Can you tell I'm clearing the fridge to go shopping!
Then I will join you!
Hopefully the bacon was smoked, and may I suggest adding some cream?

I've woken up a bit now, It was Yeovilton Air Day that we went to and it was really good, despite one heavy shower of rain. I managed to take over 800 pictures, that is a good thing about digital, it would have cost a fortune using film.
I've been to Yeovilton Airshow, it must have been about 1975, I remember it being a bit helicopter heavy and the Red Arrows were flying Gnats. I was 9, bet things have changed a bit.
