If there's no one there, not much point doing a reading
We did wind up with about 19.5 people there.

My plans were scuppered for a short ride with Mr Summerdays to have a cream tea when my parents rang to say they were visiting. I wasn't sure what to say so said ok... I'm still not able to find out if my Dad should be driving, and even my Mum doesn't know! I had a lovely time with them just lazing in the garden.

No. A young child in the first car banged her head and the paramedics checked her over - but no real injuries.

We were all breathalysed. Both the driver of the second car and I were clear... not sure about the driver of the first car. He had been put in the back of a police car for some reason and hadn't got/been let out before the second driver and I left.
Any idea why he slammed on his brakes? Just being nosey.
Found out my wrist has been broken for nearly a month (A & E missed it the first time).

I have to see wrist surgeon on Wednesday and the worst case is I might have to get it rebroken.

So no cycling for a while.
When I was 20, I found out that my wrist had been broken when i was 13 after I sent to have it x-rayed when another break was being investigated. I was told it was fine but that the chip from my previous break was floating around in the joint and causing problems. Guess what i was told for the 1st break... : whistles:. It was another 15 years and 11 operations (several being 5 procedures at once and leaving me in hospital for 8 days at a time) before my wrist was OK again. I no longer feel pain in it solely because i had all the necessary nerves removed after threatening to do it myself if necessary.

Strangely enough, these stories give me hope. I am in the midst of trying to investigate pain in my foot which I think is a result of being trodden on by a huge horse 15 years ago! All the xrays come back marked 'normal', when it clearly isn't. Nevertheless, that's bad news @User259, gws.
see above...

That was a mammoth day @SatNavSaysStraightOn. Hope you can rest for a few days!

Thanks. And yes once evening meal is made and a little cleaning done. It's rather dusty and previous occupants not to good on house work BUT it's cheap $350 AUD for the 9 nights and SILENT  and I slept through from 8pm to 2am before my bladder had other ideas... it's also dark thankfully. Needed my mobile to find the door! :whistles:
Good to see the weather in Normandy for the TDF is as crap as it is in Denmark. Italy is looking good for a holiday then. :0)

There's always here. And I'll have plenty of spare space including a spare bedroom or two out land to camp on of you wish. It was another sunny day, blue skies and only-4C again last night. Not sure what tonight is but at-2C already... expecting another warm day +16C today and had breakfast outside out at least 2nd breakfast... hoping to sit out on the :sun: for some of tomorrow.

Back to bed now.

Not really. It was the eastbound part of the M3 where there are roadworks and a 50mph limit. Traffic was heavy and we were actually doing less than 50.

The baby was in a baby seat in the front passenger seat. I don't know whether he might have been distracted...

I thought babies weren't supposed to be in the front? Good thing no one was badly hurt, quite a nasty shock for you though :hugs:
