The wretched "P" fairy visited me in the car today . First puncture I've ever had in car or bike. No spare in my car, just useless gunge, so quick pump up, nail spotted and called in at tyre depot to fork out £86 just before Xmas ......I will await the bike puncture to follow

Very unfortunate timing.

If the bike comes out in sympathy it should be rather cheaper & easier to fix at least.

I think my main oven knows it has been replaced in my affections by a Halogen Oven and is refusing to come up to temperature.

That's extortionate! I paid a tenner at a great family business in Eccles to have a nail removed, tyre repaired and even put back onto the car!

Got to the Club fashionably late. The sausage rolls were well-received so all is well with the world again.

Need to replace the oven element for a genuine part, me thinks. It's not been right since I fitted it and tonight proved it.

That was excellent, we bagged front row seats, our FD sat there grinning all the way through it. He's seen them before in big halls, but to sit within touching distance of the band made his night.

Just before the FD left the building he said raised his eyebrows, smirked and said 'see you later' I smirked back and said ' yep see you later', just as the door closed behind him my boss said 'ok c'mon spill' so I explained about this evening, no doubt tomorrow she will grill me
