I'm home, I got so bored I decided to dump work for this year.

I did that on the last day, finished 3 hours early, although I'm not done for the year, just til the 27th

Christmas shopping commenced at 4.30pm and was over by 5pm, it's good to get it all done early for a change

I cycled into town before work this morning to purchase a final pressie.. I treated myself to a Christmas Pudding ice cream whilst there

My colleague never finishes her cup of coffee, instead the first cup she leaves some then during the day she tips the last of her cups into the first cup (if that makes sense) she then leaves the cup of 'dregs' on her desk for the cleaner to get rid of. Today she told us why: apparently she watched a documentary which said that at the bottom of any drinking vessel, the liquid at the bottom is mostly saliva so, whenever she drinks from a cup/bottle or mug she never finishes it because the thought of the saliva puts her off. I did point out that her mouth was full of her own saliva and others have questioned the validity of the documentary, I know she is an odd creature but still......

We've had roadworks outside the new estate for the past 3 months, due to Severn Trent replacing old water mains that have become unreliable. They finished last week.........woke up this morning to no water. Reason....burst water main

On Monday a guy on the shop floor said 'I bet it is nice in the office, winding down for the week', I replied that 'no actually, not us 2 in the accounts dept-we cannot wind down we have to continue upto the last day' he seemed surprised so I had to explain that everyone wanted to be paid on the 24th, our suppliers wanted paying etc..... so no we don't have time to chill out this week.

The guy in question doesn't wind up for the year so not sure how he winds down at the end of it
