For tonight's tea I had haddock and chips. I was given the choice, take the haddock off the shelf or wait while he cooks one fresh. I chose fresh. ''I like that,'' said the maître de frites, ''I cook it just that little bit longer.'' It was definitely the right choice. Besides it was warmer in there than the sub-zero outside....

Two helicopters have just flown over Chateau Vernon. I've never seen a pair of helicopter flying at night before.
I'm not saying that Leeds is rough, but even the Police helicopters go round in pairs

I see it every now and again, usually military choppers, Chinooks or Black Hawks. Beagles dislike having their airspace violated by such goings on. Sometimes it takes a Lemon Girl Scout Cookie to get them to come in the house and stop baying at the helicopters.
