My best ever bodge was refurbishing/repairing a rear windscreen demister switch from an Austin Allegro 1500 Vanden Plas using a 5/64 HSS drill shaft and the blade carriers from a fret saw. It worked perfectly for the next four years until we scrapped the car.

It's annoying! I was trying to find out what the weather was going to be for my area. By the time Carol got round to it my brain had switched off.
