Well, trying to drive a slot headed screw with a Philips or a Pozidrive would probably be a bit of a chore.
It's doable though.

Turns out the bro outlaw and his partner have been staying in the peak district for easter. The outlaws have been too and have stayed on till tomorrow. They now want to meet up for bunch on the way home. They are both veggie and she a nightmare to please we got left to find a place to go. But now they've picked a place as it's on the way and they can charger the car. So will be something else to morn about. They've been before and it's not great and we do have plenty of chargers in other placers. Think I will give it a miss , will only end up saying something,

It's been a day of sunshine and showers here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not sleep well. For some reason, I just couldn't get warm, even taking the feline hot water bottle into account. Must've dropped off after around half 6 in the morning after sticking some extra blankets on the bed.

Have spent the day working on some writing. Progress is slow, but promising.

Had a lovely luncheon of chicken liver pate on some very nice cheese bread I picked up on yellow sticker from the in-store bakery in Tesco, an apple, an orange and two :cuppa:

Now sat watching the early evening news.

Cat and human reunited. Someone walked past the house calling “Zum Zum… Zummy”
“Is Zum Zum a cat?”
”Yes”
”Brief description?”
”Siamese”
Hover Fly brings Zummy out, Zummy wails as only a Siamese can and shoots over to his lady.
. It transpires he is usually kept indoors, but when he gets out he goes to any house he likes the look of.

Yay! All's well that ends well! :wahhey:

And yes, Siamese do have particularly LOUD and SHOUTY vocal apparatus.

Been a dry day till now but the rain has just started.
Went for a short walk as not feeling very active today.
Started on my bike collection by getting the Brompton out and inflating the tyres once I had worked out how to unfold it.
How can you forget how to do something like that? Folding it again took a bit of head scratching as well.
One problem was getting a pump connector to fit on the valve. With the small wheels the spokes are too close to get my "good" pump on the valve and the only other track pump I tried refuses to go beyond about 70psi when the tyre and wheel are rated up to 100psi. I do have other pumps so may try again tomorrow.
The aim is to get enough room to get my ICE Adventure out and give it a few short runs before storing in an outdoor shed as it has to be manhandled on it's side with the seat off to get it through my door. Not handy.
Then the Bike Friday and Tern Link need checking.
I would sell them but nobody here is willing to pay anything approaching a realistic price.

I made remarks on the Joke thread about 6ins nails as fuses. I should have added that this was a Three Phase supply with 3 fuses and consequently 3 x 6ins nails.
This was not the only bit affected and done by a qualified electrical contractor.

That's always a bit of a trick with Brommy wheels. Still using our ageing but trusty Edinburgh Cycle Co-op track pump, but it takes a wee bit of manovering to get the valve lever flicked up to lock without it getting caught in the spokes - !

Maybe a dose of extra cycling and water instead of tea could result in more sleep...
