Ah - Gotcha and sorry in advance if you get the earworm. The former i.e. Jean-Louis Schlesser.
I *do* like that song though, even if it does give me the most horrible earworm for days![]()
Used to make entrance matting using astro, lunar, and Martian turf. Slip too far on it and it can leave you with a bit of a mess to clean up.Astrotruf is totally different to what is basically plastic effect grass. You can't use artificial grass for all whether sports pitchers.
Artificial grass contrary to popular belief is high maintenance to keep in look good. It's a real hot topic in the trade with a lot of questions now being asked. Artificial grass is an environmental mess. Loss of biodiversity , habits , adding yet more micro plastics to the environment. It currently can't be recycled and needs vast amount of raw materials to make. With a carbon footprint to match. Try laying on in or walking bare foot on really hot days. In Australia it's all over then place and real issue , some states have replaced grass in whole parks with the stuff. Reports of people being burned on hot days. Campaigns are now growing to ban it along with more evidence to it's negative effects. Personally I'd welcome a ban on the sale and use to the public and public spacers. Even worse is a growing trend in sport turf for hybrid pitchers. Sports grade artificial grass with real grass combined. The ECB for example from this session have now allowed it's use in all forms of Frost class domestic cricket.
Contract's being renewed with my current school, which I love, a promotion and a very nice pay rise.
New contract starts 16/08.

It looks like it's good to cross there. https://www.hammersmithbridge.org.uk/ says it was opened up to ride across on 13 February.Ah - Gotcha and sorry in advance if you get the earworm.
Quick question for any London based (or regular visitor) contributors - can you confirm if Hammersmith Bridge is currently open to cycle traffic even if you have to get off and push. TFL and various news sites seems to show it as OK, but it would be good to get first hand information. I've been planning a route involving the vehicle bridges over the Thames and there's 14 from Tower to Chiswick IF Hamersmith is open, otherwise I'll have to extend out to Kew.
Many thanks for that - I'll keep an eye on them for updates as there's the comment (which I've seen elsewhere)It looks like it's good to cross there. https://www.hammersmithbridge.org.uk/ says it was opened up to ride across on 13 February.
Which began in mid February and therefore expires at the end of April and I'm hoping to be there in late May.A 3-metre wide two-way central lane has been built across the bridge. The lane will remain open for ten weeks.
