Itching to get back on my bike's

On our regular lunchtime stroll we acknowledge quite a few of the people who we see .
Today as we walked past a couple emptying plants from there car I said someone will be busy this afternoon , no reply received or given that's the last time I bother talking to them 😞

My working day is completed.
Just watered the fruit and vegetable plants using water out of one of our butts.
The flowers were watered using a butt that doesn't get much falling rainwater so might not be so clean

A cool day here chez Casa Reynard, but the grey morning slowly became a lovely sunny afternoon.

Slept well and overslept. Whoops! A bit of a choresy morning again. Green bin was emptied early doors, so brought it back in, and it's been refilled from the big pile of weeds. Amongst other things, lso sorted out culinary ingredients for tonight's supper and labelled the jars of jam from yesterday evening's session.

Had a lovely luncheon of a wholemeal roll filled with gammon, plus cheese, fruit and a :cuppa:

Started off the afternoon by doing some writing - namely sketching out the outline of the next chapter. After, I spent an hour and a half in the garden, weeding and dealing with some branches getting in the way of grass cutting. I didn't really want to do it (I wanted a bicycular bimble), but once I got in the swing, it was really rather enjoyable.

I'm now sat with a :cuppa: and a chocolate biskit whilst watching the early evening news.

Before wearing the boots for longer than walking around the shop in as they really painful

Mountain warehouse boots and shoes can be a bit hit and miss. I bought a really expensive pair about seven or eight years ago, and until I broke them in, they gave me horrendous blisters. And yeah, they were comfy in the shop... But once I *did* break them in, they've been actually really comfortable, but far better for grass and unpaved surfaces as opposed to what I wanted them for i.e. urban walking. I found a pair of Merells in Decathlon for that...

Picked up another pair of boots (mucho cheaper than the above) in January from Mountain Warehouse (not many options in Ely if you don't want to travel) and they've been good to go right away, no complaints there. And no blisters. Albeit the soles are thinner, so will need to get some cushioned insoles.
