It's been a very warm but only occasionally sunny here chez Casa Reynard.
Did not sleep well - a combo of the old too hot, too cold, and a back that had not enjoyed yesterday's gardening. Ergo I had a lie in and a very gentle morning where not a lot was accomplished.
Had a lovely luncheon of two slices of seeded toast, one with potted turkey, the other with boursin cheese, plus fruit and a
Spent some time sat in the garden listening to the F1 qually from Barcelona, then did some more on the Reynard 893 drawing. That was mainly doing sponsors' logos, for which one needs good daylight and a steady hand.
At teatime, I went into town to do the shopping / go yellow stickering. The planned splash & dash in Waitrose was canned as I got stuck behind a horsebox doing 20 mph all the way from here to Ely, so just went straight to Tesco instead. Not much to be had on YS after an opportunist vacuumed up about a dozen packs of chicken, but I didn't come home empty-handed. Picked up organic lamb mince, chickpeas, a couple of malt loaves and some nice bread from the bakery.
Also bought some gorgeous strawberries. They were £1.50 a punnet on a clubcard offer, and they smelled SO lovely that I bought four punnets. And we've already nearly demolished one of them. The variety is called Eunice, and they come from a grower in Hampshire. The Norfolk-grown Malling's Centenary I had previously were lovely, but these are on a different planet!
Just plan on a nice quiet evening. Will probably catch up with this morning's Formula E race from Shanghai.
