How on earth can you take a phone apart?

...assuming you want it to work afterwards.
That may be a problem ^_^

That is part of the dilemma.
The phone works, back it up. Find out how to get all your old stuff onto your new phone with your new SIM card.

Or, try gently prising the phone apart. Very fine, surgical equivalent to tyre levers.

Is it worth buying a phone case fixing kit?

The only info I have on the phone is phone numbers and my email password. And this is why.

Bin's were collected, one this morning, t'other this afternoon.

Carefully?
So... does "carefully" involve a hammer and chisel?

Are you actually certain there's one in there & it hasn't sproinged out?

I did think that at first, but when I restarted the phone it demanded a Sim Pin and connected to the network, so either it's still in there or I have unlimited phone use for life...

It's been a grey but pleasant enough day here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not have a good night. Managed about four hours before I woke up, and then I just couldn't get back to sleep. Wasn't helped by a cat wearing a Cone of Shame walking all over my head... And still not feeling the return of my va-va-voom.

Had a gentle morning, in which the main task was finishing off mending the rip on my jeans. OK, I could have worn them after the bits I did yesterday, but they look *SO* much better with the rip now fully darned. I will do a similar "fabric reinforcing" exercise on the other leg where there is excessive wear in order to prevent any future wardrobe malfunctions in that area. OK, the jeans cost me £15 in Marks & Sparks I think ten or eleven years ago, and they're only work jeans / dog walking jeans these days, but if I can keep them going rather than having to buy a new pair, then I will.

A light luncheon of one slice of seeded toast, boursin cheese, fruit and a :cuppa:

Did some writing this afternoon, then took the parental to Littleport to make an appointment at the quack for a med review that she couldn't make on Monday and told her to come back today. And guess what. They couldn't make the appointment and told her to come back end of next week. Added to that, the garden centre in Littleport doesn't sell gardening gloves (weird or what?), and so that was a totally wasted trip.

Adding to my misery, the signal booster on the downstairs TV has failed completely (don't need one for upstairs), which explains the last few days of really pants TV reception. Well, it's 14 years old, so I can't complain too much I guess. I do have a spare that I bought ages ago and never used, but it needs a female-female cable, and not the female-male that the old one uses, so I can't just plug it in. So I need to go and get either a new cable or an adaptor plug. Aaaargh.

Anyways, time to feed the cat, and then it will be time to feed me.
