Our local Fb page has circulated a Council edict that today and tomorrow, the bin collections will be a couple of hours earlier so they can get finished a bit earlier because of the warmth. ☀️

Yes we had the same notification last week, obviously in a rush to top up the suntan

It is grey here. A bit like yesterday. Not sure how I'm feeling at the moment, a bit tired.
After being on holiday to places with soft water I've noticed that I get up more times in the night back home where we have hard water.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's clear blue skies, sunshine and heat to start the day. Coffee has been had with a fresh pack being opened to start the week. The non-recycling bin has been emptied and needs to be retrieved from it's current resting place.

Domestics need to be done, but I may leave those until Wednesday when it's forecast to be cooler and possibly wet which would curtail any outdoor activities.

A brief review of the local landscape reveals that the bowling green club in front of Cardiff Arms Park is home to Cardiff Athletic. I think the word ''Athletic'' may be stretching things.

Looks like a journey I've got booked in October will take an hour longer than anticipated as there now seems to be a rail replacement bus between Ely and Peterborough. Just wish the email from Trainline was clearer rather than me having to work it out for myself.

Oh this old romantic fool has bought two bunches of flowers for Mrs P 35 years of marriage,mind you from Aldi not Waitfose,well i am a true Yorkshireman.

Less than 25 yards from our gate ,we were nearly crashed in to.Pillock came steaming round the bend,slammed on mounted the pavement across our bonnet,then glared at Mrs P,she rolled down her window and spoke.He denied speeding,yeah that's why to mounted the pavement.
