It's been scorchio and humid here chez Casa Reynard. Car thermometer was reading 34C while I was out and about.
Slept reasonably well. Most of the day has been spent erranding. Most of yesterday was spent looking for the parental's misplaced dentures. I know, don't ask! We did find them though. Eventually.
Way too hot for luncheon, so just had a

and biskits.
Took Madam Lexi to the vet to get her leg looked at. The patch she keeps chewing isn't of too much concern, but it does want tidying up and stitching. The lump in her groin is of somewhat more concern. In this heat, they'd become inflamed and a bit infected. She had everything cleaned and flushed out today, she's on a week's course of anti-inflammatories and antibiotics, and she goes back to be reassessed next Monday morning. If that looks OK, then she'll have the surgery she needs.
My poor wallet!
But she needs it done. If left, it'll only get worse, and so I owe it to her to get it sorted. Having said that, I've already seen a difference now that everything's been cleaned out and she's had her first doses of meds. So fingers and paws crossed for the Lexter xxx
Had a lovely supper of sliced roast chicken, cold soba noodles dressed with sesame, soy, pickled ginger and chives, and a salad of finely-shredded cucumber and red pepper that I'd lightly pickled.
A quiet evening is planned.
