This evening's hot chocolate has just been drunk.

Went out late morning/early afternoon for a couple of hours bike ride - mad dogs and Englishmen and all that! Swelteringly hot and I think I earned the post shower relaxation in the shade of the garden. Other than that nothing whatsoever has been done today.

In this heat, what soft drinks do you drink?

I drink Ginger Ale (non-alcoholic) and Peroni 0%. What is pleasant without being overbearingly sweet?

Tesco's orange and mango squash by the pint. I seem to be getting through quite a lot at the moment, but it's very sweet even in a weak mix.

My first day back at work in two weeks. I used one of my work at home days as I couldn't be bothered going to the office. Feels like I'd never been away. Usual rubbish.

Only good thing is that I might get my work at home contract after all. It seems that I should have had one all along as I had been working at home for years. My previous manager had never bothered sorting it out properly.

Today must have been the wettest day I ever remember. Torrential rain from the morning. It's eased off a bit now, but still raining.

I had my last dance class before summer this evening.

Abandoned WAH at 4.10. The north facing ropm oddly being too hot with a two fans, one a water cooler. The downstairs north facing room is 4 degrees cooler. Currently 29/31 according to outside thermometers, and bike shed says 33 enough though the doors open. Wonders if it will be cool enough by 8 for an Aldi trek? Run out of apples.

We get that sort of weather regular here all summer. All the corn we grow raises the humidity as well.
