WFH today. Spent a fair bit of yesterday at medical appointments. Bad news, high grade tear of my supraspinatus tendon (rotator cuff - shoulder) classed as high grade when a tear is over 50% of the tendon (7mm) - mine is 10mm so that would suggest about 2/3rds is torn. GP said no operation (good) but I'll push for a steroid injection to settle it down. Was given just 7 days supply of naproxen - I'll take one before bed as I can manage the pain during the day. Will volterol up though during the day as that works 'locally' - magic stuff.
Good news, discharged from the Hospital for my fractured pelvis. Xray showed on-going healing and the consultant was very pleased when he saw me walk in without a limp - some other bloke (pelvic injury) in at the same time was limping badly.
I felt a bit of a fraud being there (now I am mobile) as a guy next to me had just had his tib and fib screwed together after his leg had been pinned by a car (he was on a bike but I think there was a bit more to it - he was somewhat 'rough' and there was mention of assault etc). But, he was still in agony, and his big toe was black. Looked in a right mess. He'd had surgery two weeks ago and sent away with just co-codamol. Another chap was in having had his tendons repaired in his knee. Apparently he'd injured his knee doing Jujitsu, but slipped near his dog's food bowls in the kitchen and torn it.
