Morning.
It is grey and damp here, we have had some light rain. Not much just a few small puddles, we could do with a lot as the brook and river are really low.

Something's not quite right. I got out of bed and immediately spun round and almost fell over. It took a while for me to get my balance back. I have since been downstairs and made drinks and brought them back again but I still feel not right.

Morning all, more rain through the night and this morning. Still grey, no wind. Need to get out for my Sunday ride, just need to time it correctly, which knowing my luck means I’ll time it wrong Alas, t’is only water.

Good morning all, still overcast and damp here. Looks like rain is not far away for most of the 10 day forecast. It feels like summer is over now. Ripening rowan berries and gold-turning bracken and birch leaves have been very noticeable in the last week.

Was a sunny start but now clouding and rain predicted. Looks like an ultra mundane cleaning and tidying up session coming up.

Good morning from a grey and breezy Suffolk. Looks like there was a little bit of overnight wetness and the radar is showing more heading this way. Coffee has been had and the washing machine is doing its thing to a load of towels.

The rest of the day is very much weather dependent - there's a free music event on Jesus Green in Cambridge which looks fun (a ska covers band), but I don't fancy sitting out in the rain. Due to poor train connections times I'd drive up to the park & ride site and then bike from there to Jesus Green. I also need to go shopping for tonight's tea, but could do a pizza out of the freezer instead.

And as I was typing this, the rain has started.

One of the kids over the way seems to have been lent a recorder by the school for the summer holidays. They've been trying to play Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star for an hour or so. Let's say they have the tune surrounded but not nailed. A welcome shower has driven them back inside so it's quiet again.

Persistently drizzling here and it seems to be set in for a while. I'll see what it's like out to the west in an hour and then make the decision as to whether I go out or not.

Meanwhile - coffee.

Today's brunch involved anchovies and avocado. They go well together. With sun-dried tomatoes to add a bit of fruity tang.
