It's hard work climbing hills whilst sat on the sofa with a laptop resting on your lap .

A couple of short rain showers

Is it time you mended your roof?

I was hoping for a quiet day today. The lady opposite is having a new bathroom fitted, (very noisily) and some one is having their driveway jet washed.

Postie delivered a replacement plug bolt thing for the lawnmower so at lunchtime fitted it rather than putting it somewhere safe and not being able to find it.
Afternoon work visits and at the second set of temporary lights on the A61 a very long wait only moving forward a couple of vehicles. Eventually the queue moved, all pass a red light. At the far end an operative was on his phone looking at the traffic light control box.

It's been a cool, grey and drizzly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. A gentle but choresy morning. Fruit bowls have been refilled, and I had to pick up assorted fainted tomato plants. I moved them to places where they can lean up against things until I sort out some better supports.

Madam Lexi has had another check-up at the vet. Ruth, the vet, is really pleased with her progress - as I thought she's decided it won't benefit Lexi to stitch up the hole in her groin. It's already less than half the size it was last week. The verdict is to continue with the meds - the arthrocam until the bottle is empty (there's 5 more doses in there), and another week of the antibiotics, and for Lexi to come and see her again next Thursday.

Other than that, I have spent the day watching a bit of cycling, listening to the cricket and working on the writing.

Scampi chips & peas for tea tonight 😋

Too late, I had it for lunch.

Spent the day finishing off returning my father's house back to normal following re-fit work after it was flooded in January. It's been a whole family effort and now looks lovely, with us helping set the house out in a way that is both more spacious and modernised.

And this evening this is my view:
