Ride has been rid. 31 of your best English miles. Strava has given me 18 medals and a “second fastest 50Km” award. Nothing to do with the recent e-assist rebuild

What a thoroughly dull and cool afternoon. About the only excitement was the Lancaster flying directly over my house on its way to a short display off the Felixstowe coast as part of the carnival.

The non-recycling bin has been moved to the front of the house ready for emptying on Monday. Unusually this is the third time in a row as I wanted to get rid of the two bags of grass clippings from yesterday and had enough other bits to get rid of to cover them.

They never went on, start aborted. Then the race was red flagged.

Ah, but the green light did go on for the Formation Lap and the the red light came on at the end of it. The second start had a green light & green flag to release the cars from pit lane (technically the race start), then went on to be a rolling start so..
One Red...Three... Five...
never happened and
Lights out!
should be "Lights on" as the green light was then shown on the start line as the safety car period ended
Nerd alert!

I thought I was watching England play against Spain, but it was Barcelona.

The weather has changed. Still mostly dry, but noticeable colder. I ventured out for about fifty miles this morning on a new route I had plotted.

Because the nose piece of my beloved and very well used Brooks saddle on my Townsend had broken on my way home from Kintyre, I put the Brooks C17 plastic thing (that I had bought second hand locally a while but hadn't put on a bike) on the bike before setting off. The jury is still out. It's well shaped and comfortable initially, but felt very hard after fifty miles. A leather version is superior in my opinion. I enjoyed the ride anyway.

I went to visit an uncle in the evening. No live music tonight as the football crowd would probably still be in the pub after the match and I couldn't be bothered with them.

It was dark driving back from my uncle's. The nights are fare drawing in.
