Drove around 4 miles to do the weekly shop (one of three a week it seems to be becoming...blooming kids eat you out of house and home)
Got there, gathered bags, got a pound coin out the door pocket...phone...noooo, where's my phone (with my bank card within)...shoulders immediately dropped with disappointment.
Bugger, drove home, gathered phone, back to shop.....

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Is she being deported for suggesting redecorating?

No, but I'm tempted not to collect her from the airport on her return. Or cancel the return ticket.

Another option is to simply move house before she comes back

Thankfully on my way out of London. Judging by the amount of bucket hats and Adidas tops I'm guessing there's an Oasis money making opportunity gig happening at Wembley this evening. Add on to that the normal hoards of tourists and

I can imagine how annoying that would be...however as you're leaving...

'Don't look back in anger' as you'll soon be 'half the world away'. No doubt you hurried off, even becoming 'supersonic', whilst the hoards reduce 'little by little'.

Back from a little ride from Peebles. Took the track from Manor Valley over to Megget.
Pictures here…

After regaining tarmac we had a stonking tailwind east along St Mary’s Loch then an uncomfortably warm climb over to Innerleithen where we demolished tea and cake. After that an easy 5 miles along the cycle path back to Peebles, an enjoyable ride.

Day in the office and a quick return was made from desk to bike shed as I had forgotten to take the pannier off the ebike.
Stayed far more sunny than predicted and as a meeting dragged on well into lunchtime the days work was abandoned at 4.30 for a hunt for a birthday card for an aunt. Once back home Strava behaved itself and uploaded both commuting rides.

It's been a grey but warm day here chez Casa Reynard, with the occasional bit of drizzle hanging in the air.

Sleep was middling. Spent the morning in the company of a good friend and her dogs. We had a lovely walk around some local trails, and picked some blackberries. On my return, I picked more blackberries from a stand of canes just across the road from me. Given the size of the berries, I suspect they may be an escaped cultivated variety. I now have about 300g of berries. They will go into a crumble, I think.

I have watered all the outdoor planters, and I am finishing off the cooking of my plum butter.

Also paid my VED.

There was a time I would walk a two mile round trip back home to fetch my reusable carrier bags if I forgot them.
