Not a chance if you’re coming past Stafford. Northbound been closed all night. Sleeping lorry, diesel spill etc

We checked the route beofre leaving and saw M6 closed between junctions 14 & 15 so opted for M1 , A50 and on to M6 at Junction 15 for the last hour of the journey ended up taking 4 and a bit hours for a two and half hour journey making it one of my worst journeys recently , coming back home m6 . m1 and a45 dood to door two and half hours .

Anyhow, when the sun comes round to the west and I forget to draw the kitchen blind, the sun hits the kitchen worktop. A bottle of red wine took the full force of the sun. This means that my wine o'clock glass is approaching mulled wine temperature. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else but I'm actually enjoying my sun-warmed tipple.

Seems to be a LOT of mosquitoes tonight. Just come back from a dog walk on local field...I could feel them landing on my bare legs all the time. Now sat in living room, I can see them flitting around the TV and light. Blooming things are all over the shop tonight.

A very good day out has been had. Sunshine, warm with a bit of a breeze to keep it reasonable, some good racing and interesting cars on and off track.
I think I'm going to make it a weekend of racing and head to Snetterton on Sunday for the 2nd day of the Classic Touring Car Racing Club meeting, especially as one of my favourite race cars from the 90s is out to play (Cor Euser's Marcos LM600)

And I thought the 15 minute delay I had on the A43 at Towcester was bad.

Who ever in Highways England or Northamptonshire road planning that approved the building of the new Towcester relief road roundabout on the A43 less than 500 yards from the Brackley Road one and with the northbound services in between them needs to be reassigned.
