Good morning from Suffolk where it's been a cloudy and warm start to the day. There's also been a fair bit of rain first thing judging by the large puddle on the neighbour's shed roof.

Coffee has been had and the washing machine's currently doing its thing. Today will be a quiet day after yesterday's outing with about the only thing to be done being a trip to Tescos (oh the excitement!) for some squash as I'm running low again.

They were talking about donating your dead pet to zoos to help feed the animals on the TV a little while ago. They mentioned a family who donated their dead horse. What they didn't explain was having a horse put down is one expense but having to dispose of the dead horse is another. You can't take it home and bury it in your garden like a cat. My friend had that problem some months ago. He didn't tell me how much it cost but it wasn't cheap.

Cats, dogs and rabbits should have not less than 75 cm of soil on top of them. That ends up being a deep hole.

Horse? Well, fire up the JCB then.

I worked in Kentucky for a while. Several weeks, fixing a quality problem, felt like a lifetime. I pissed everybody off so they sorted the problem and I could leave them alone.
Fishing, college sports and alcohol all seemed to take precedence over work. That and everybody being somebody's cousin and or ex.
Made North Wales seem quite normal.

My experience exactly. As with most of the South. Expect no work at the start of fishing or hunting season, either. Wonderful people, great characters for the most part, but a different view of work.
