My hope is that there is a pub opposite the church.

There generally is, a pub was needed for the builders of the church.

I've got the urge to go somewhere on this lovely morning. This is counteracted by the fact that there will be far too many people out on the roads making getting there and back - particularly back - a real pain.

from the shade of a pub garden in Norwich where a much needed cold beer is being had. A warm and unexpectedly quick ride up in glorious late summer sunshine.

I think I've picked up a crick in my neck and a sore wrist with all the cyclists out and about today.

Enjoyed a little ride around Midlothian this morning, the sun hazed over so it never got particularly warm, about 20° at a guess. Looking forward to some rain in the coming days, everywhere is parched.
And in other news, the Fringe ends today. The Tattoo has already finished, Saturday was the last performance.

Latest lot of paperwork dropped through the letter box at solicitors.
And made the error of using a cut through in the town centre that's only car friendly after 4.30 pm on a weekday as I was thinking of hoping it was Sunday so that will be a £50+ fine

bank holiday so before my quick spin i put the washing machine on and put the oven cleaner on .
Wish i hadnt bothered with the ride as the legs were not willing and the knee was hurting after yesterdays efforts so i just pootled around , didnt help that the gears were not indexing after i had changed wheels and sorted them out on the stand but on the road it was way off.
Got home and put the washing out then cleaned the oven , its now cuppa time

Washing is hanging on the whirly gig in the sun.
An afternoon cuppa went down well with a huge chunk of homemade rocky road, I even came away with 5 Aldi cup cakes as they are out of date tomorrow but they are fine .
