Usually for Saturday afternoon review with Cook. But she is doing curtains. Can't imagine it. They'll have lumps and taste like .......
She's a rubbish cook but been here so long can't fire her. She sort of came with the property......along with bad drains, a spot of leaky roof and the holes in the drive
Oh what fun to hire a young enthusiastic, maybe pretty, cook... What's more important, nice legs or decent cream anglaise?
Oh dear, I've woken up ........

Just had my flu jab, so I will be taking it easy for the rest of the weekend.

What brand of hot chocolate powder do peeps on here like to drink?

I like to drink the expensive stuff, but have to make do with Cadbury’s

Another dull & grey day has passed and, if the forecast is correct, there's more of it next week. Managed to get a near 20 mile bottle bank and shopping trip done early afternoon and then settled on the sofa intending to do a bit of reading. However a remembered post from a couple of weeks ago about the now closed Melton Mowbray - Nottingham rail line (@Mike_P I think) had me going over the route via Google Maps and some of the images intrigued me and further searches then led me to its current use as the Old Dalby Test Track and occupied about an hour and a half of my time.

Most of the food & drink for tomorrow's day out has been prepared and a bike is in the boot of the car, leaving just the flask of coffee to make before I go.

Dad taxi taking the progeny to a katy perry concert then coming back for them , of course i had to pay for their food and i told them i wasnt paying for tat as mini ck 1 has her own cash so when they asked for more to be sent and came out with a baseball cap that cost £25 i was not impressed .
Not at work sunday as it will be gone 1 am before i get to bed and i need to be up for about 4.30 if i was going in so i will do the next few weeks back to back.

Good morning from a still dark Suffolk which means it must still be cloudy as I'd expect a bit of light by now. Coffee is just being finished and I'm about to nuke a small bowl of porridge for breakfast. Once that's been had, a flask of coffee will be made, food and a cold drink will be added to the backpack and I'm off to Silverstone - remembering to get some diesel on the way out.
