Madam Ruby...

Yes, she's a roughly four year old non-pedigree tortie. She was abandoned in a locked, empty house without food or water after her previous owners were evicted, and then passed between several rescues for various reasons before ending up at Ely CP.

Not my photo, this one came from her fosterer. Madam is still hiding (she's upstairs somewhere right now), but mum said she was exploring a bit while I was out shopping. She's eating well, knows where the water bowl is, and has used the tray. We're getting there.

well done. love is love. she doesn't know how lucky she is to have you 👍

Time to bank the fire for the night and trot off upstairs to bed via a nice hot bath.

Just saw the waste that has been dumped in Oxfordshire. I think they said it was 12 metres high and has been dumped since September. They have been told that it could cost £30 million to clear. Surely it wouldn't have cost that much to put a team of people there to watch over the site to see who was doing it?

Someone should be aware of this and made accountable as it wouldn't have happened overnight

Just beggars belief to see how bad it's got - that's some industrial scale fly tipping.

Good morning from a sunny but cold Suffolk. Lousy night's sleep interspersed with coughing fits, overheating and some very strange dreams. I considered not doing today's away day first thing as I kept having to sit down due to dizzyness, but a cuppa, a couple of aspirin and a chocolate digestive seems to have improved things immensely.

As a result the overnight bag has been placed by the front door ready for when I leave for the train station in about an hour.
