Good morning from Suffolk where the normal service of cloud and gloominess has returned. Still damp underfoot from overnight rain, but dry overhead at the moment.

Coffee has been had and a shopping list drawn up for bits to see me through to next week. I also need to go into town to pay the bill for the gas boiler service. Tickets go on sale shortly for a band I want to see which will be more expense with the hotel booking on top.

Out tomorrow, sister in law is taking father in law out for fish and chips.Me i am off down to local cafe for me dinner.then to Aldi one New York cheesecake and a pair of Belgian buns.price ck £1-79 bb £1-35 = £3-14 cheaper than piggin Costa's piddlingley small bakewell tart.Good old Aldi a fair treat for me and my mate Jack i bring the goodies he does me a big mug of coffee,Aldi is heaven for a tight fisted Yorkshireman.

Pretty much so for tight fisted Midwestern Americans, as well. One of the early Aldis was in the town where I grew up, used to have to drive my Auntie in her very old Nash Rambler to get groceries and pinch pennies. I learned a lot about thrift. Best legacy one can pass on.
