Mr Bonds very kindly sent me £75. A useful some for sum seasonal extras.

Amaretto? Lindt Chocolates? and

The pistachio Lindor. I plan on treating myself to a box, as I love pistachios.

Some nice cheese maybe? Smoked salmon? Charcuterie? A really nice chai blend?

And some super duper fluffy socks.

got another mouse in our upstairs crawl space. one night a cpl days ago, while watching TV, w/ a cat in my lap, I heard scrambling in the ceiling. the cat didn't seem to care. so I got this 2nd up there, the 1st was some time ago, cpl months maybe? I'll keep an ear out for more. it was a big healthy one. hate to do it but if it was a preggo, she could have let loose many more, right?

so far the tally is 10, including inside & out. my suspicion is they get in & out at will, & climb inside the walls

I think the big outside rat is gone & there's just 1 smaller rat outside. at least I hope it's outside, hehe

We had a mouse casually walking across our parking lot at work today, in front of my "patrol vehicle". Other fellow in the vehicle thought it was a leaf, but leaves don't look at you, scrunch up their little nose, and continue running on little legs against the wind.

ok I'm in for the night. walked thru flooded parking lots at the office, grocery store & home condo complex. played the revolving game of move your cars for the plow, then move your cars when the plow is done. did some cursory shoveling of 2-3 inches of wet sloppy mush & snow because who knows if & when the crew will show up. expecting sleet all night & lowering temps into then high 20sF. that means everything will harden up. could be a nice slippery mess by morning

It is dark and foggy here.
I think I might have had my first hot flush. It was a full blown 5 bar radiant heater. Phew it was hot. What else can I look forward to?

Good morning from Suffolk where it's the unusual occurrence of a second consecutive dry & sunny start to the day. A large and strong mug of coffee has been had after a lousy night's sleep - I woke at around 05:30 and just couldn't drop off again.

At least it means I can get the earlier train for today's day out, take my time and have a bit of food & drink relaxation afterwards.

For compelling domestic reasons it has to be done and finished by Sunday.
Not sure my body can cope with the extreme workout.
The project timeline is on my head, but local builders merchant and skip rental migh call for creative work around.
