Afternoon hot chocolate went down well
What's next

Later today, Ocado will be here delivering an order.

You could have Fiery Ginger Biskits, honey and ginger yoghurts, fruit scones, Tyrrells crisps, and/pizza. Please do not open the bottle of Sherry as that is a present for someone.

As they've made a massive mess of it from the start , that's my understanding of what they've now come up with.

That just means that Sir Reginald Bloggins-Smythe in his ten bedroom mansion, will pay tax on the allowance. Rhetorical question - why couldn't they target people who need it, so that Mrs Smith in her two bedroom flat, could get double the allowance?

If they had held out in the 1st place. it wound have work out fairer. They bottled it and set the amount too high. Also it’s income based so you can have millions in the bank. As long you don’t make over 35k from it all. You still get it.

Definitely not a drying day despite it being dry and to make it worst put the washer back on a washing rather than drying mode.
Annoying Ocardo delivery. Nothing missing but the frozen all mixed up with the non frozen.

Keyboard still not happy, m gives/m and some other key logs out which I do not recall any doing before.

I can imagine. We've had sun all day but the roads have stayed stubbornly wet.

A bright and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after a bit of a damp and murky start.

Did not sleep well. Kept waking up. NOT helped by someone random calling my mobile at stupid o'clock in the morning. Phone was on my bedside table rather than in my handbag, as I had an alarm set to make sure I was up in time to meet a friend for our regular dog walk. I've found out that mobile numbers get recycled when they go inactive for a while, and I still get assorted comms intended for the previous (male) owner of this particular number. I just block the numbers.

Did have a lovely if somewhat muddy dog walk this morning. Dropped off some books at the book exchange in the village. There was a lot of new stuff, but nothing of any interest. I also did all the usual chores.

Luncheon was once again skipped in order to cut up and haul in another batch of firewood. I'm onto some of the larger branches of this quite sizeable tree, so can't get as many chunks into the wheelbarrow before it becomes too heavy. So it does require more to-ing and fro-ing, but it's good exercise. I also picked up half a wheelbarrow of kindling.

Green wheelie bin has been put out for collection with the Christmas card and box (a nice posh pack of German biskits) for the team on the recycling van tied to the handles.

I don't need to cook tonight as there's loads of leftovers from last night. A quiet evening listening to the football and watching the snooker is planned.
