Another belated good morning from what was up to a few minutes ago a sunny Suffolk. Coffee and a very long lie in have been had.

There's a load of cycle clothing currently being dealt with by the washing machine and setting that in motion is the sum total of what I've done this morning. Later on I'll put something into the slow cooker for tea and go out for a walk into town and along the seafront and back.

Useless information - I've been awarded the '15 years in' trophy today.

American movie theaters have really gone down the tubes. went to see a 2 hr movie, sat down at the movie start time, commercials started 15 minutes later, & continued for another 45 minutes w some previews mixed in, most of which were horrifically violent including kids cartoon movies. after 60 minutes I had enough & demanded a refund. all I got was a coupon for repeat abuse. anyone want the coupon? I sure don’t

Some UK cinemas run Autism-friendly showings, which don't have adverts. A much better experience imo

Rain arrived just as the car headed to Lidl, 30% off oranges being one reason for the visit. Thence to Waitrose obtaining some of their nice but expensive salmon for Christmas Eve, having a £1.50 app voucher. A whole stack were on yellow label but all use by today so a pack from the back better dated purchased. Otherwise trying to tidy up the spare room. Resorted to a big box and throw everything lying about in it to sort out later... One item I did try to relocate back to where it belonged but failed as it was not missing there. Um...

This of course makes you an honorary southerner. Alley is the first word that comes to mind for me too, though back passage also works, albeit with double entendre potential.

A bit of funeral organising this morning, mostly by SWMBO, so I've gone out for a walk.

We're in Rostrevor, Co Down, which is more MTB territory and the only one of those we have has a steering wheel as a joke.

In other mundane news I've won £250, which will go some way towards travel and accommodation costs for the funeral.

Tedium of tidying up interrupted by checking the contents of the freezer. No unsmoked mackerel fillet to be found. Um.. Never stocked by Sainsbury's once Christmas food is in. Checked Tesco's website and they sell them. First visit to the new Tesco and one packed car park. Eventually found a space and then the mackerel fillets, plus also Turkey breast steaks which are sold out elsewhere it seems. Please to see the cycle stands are undercover but about as far from the entrance as they could be.

Just sent a sharp email to the letting agent about several repairs that need doing in the family flat, that he was informed about some time ago. Now I'm all riled up...
