Happy birthday @dicko. Christmas dinner equally went down well; Turkey breasts done in 6 minutes in the George Forman grille, pigs in blankets and stuffing in separate ovens at the correct temps and roast potatoes in the air fryer. Served with country veg, gravy and cranberry sauce. Followed by Christmas pud with brandy sauce.

We may have had a different Christmas day yesterday but we had a great time, on what was a rare Mrs 73 Christmas day off. With the help of a few short cuts and a bit of help from me checking if things had cooked though. Mrs 73 did well and a hearty cottage pie , cauliflower cheese, broccoli and mini roast potatoes. Was had which we both enjoyed with Sponge pudding and custard for afters. Presents wise Mrs 73 has now even more Snoopy stuff to add to her collection. Amongst my presents I got a cool Marvin the Martian blanket and equally cool Herdy sheep themed cycling mug.

And belated Christmas Greetings to all.
Yesterday we tried something different for Christmas, a takeaway Christmas dinner from a famous local garden centre (Pentland Plants). I’m pleased to report that it turned out very nice indeed, and we still have a few leftovers for lunch today. Certainly beats the effort of having to make it ourselves, and very quick to clear up afterwards. Will be signing up for the same next year.

I discovered that I was whistling at a black plastic flower pot trying to get it to come indoors earlier. It was still a bit dark at the time and thought that it was our Georgie sat on our back path staring at a mouse. In the dark the way in which the flower pot was lying looked like a cat just sat there.its no wonder it didn't come indoors!

Good morning from a currently cloudy Suffolk.
A large mug of strong coffee has been had and that's about it so far as I try to recover from a day of overeating. Looking forward to a quiet day with either a longish walk or a bike ride later on depending on how the weather goes.
