Call an ambulance quick! I suffered a terrible accident.

I accidentally picked a coffee cream from a box of chocolates. xx( xx( xx( xx( xx(
If you find any more, lob them over the Irish Sea in this direction as I love them. Every year at work people used to bring in the leftover chocolates that nobody at home ate, and I was the only one to scoff the coffee creams - when I retired one of the parting gifts was a kilo tub of them as a joke.

It's been a bright, sunny and quite chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, and slept in, this in spite of a sore back and some clog-dancing monthly heffalumps. Did the morning chores, scraped the ice off the car, and moseyed off into town for a sniff at the clearances / sales.

Tesco was a bust. Nothing at all in any of the YS cabinets, and still the same booze and chilli heatwave doritos in the green bins. That said, there *were* some YS turkeys if I'd have wanted any. Most of them would have fed the five thousand, they were that big, though not so much of an issue if you wanted to joint, debone and freeze. Not for me this time, though.

After, I went to Peacocks on a hunt for some cat-themed jim jams. But they a) weren't in the sale and b) didn't actually have any stock in. There was a pink onesie in a 10-12 size, so tried it on. What's with their sizing these days? A 10-12 onesie always used to fit me well enough. Now, I could've gotten two of me in there. I strongly suspect vanity sizing at work here.

Last stop was B&M, where I just *may* have caused a world shortage of cat toys.

Then home for a lovely luncheon of pork pie, crusty bloomer with home made smoked salmon pate, an apple, a pear and a :cuppa:

Next task was dealing with the nearly 5 kilos of fish I picked up in Waitrose. Divided it up between me and my bestie, and portioned up my share. That lot's now in the freezer except for one odd sea bass fillet (because the guy on the fish counter couldn't count), which I shall cook up tomorrow for Madam Boo.

Then I popped round to my friend with her share of the fish, as well as the mangoes, tomatoes and potatoes that I also picked up for her on YS. Also gave her a nice portion of my Xmas fruit crumble and my home made chicken liver pate. We had a good chinwag, and doggy and kitty cuddles were had.

Back home to a warming supper of beetroot soup, then a hot lamb sandwich with some salad on the side, and a portion of said fruit crumble with a good slug of cream.

A quiet evening is planned. For a supposedly restful day, I didn't sit down much!
