Good morning from a still sub-zero Suffolk. The clear blue skies & sunshine continue as does the biting north westerly breeze.

Coffee has been had while trying to decide what to do today. I've a code for a free hot drink which needs to be used up today, so it'll probably be the long walk into town, along the seafront and back home. As much as I'd like to take a bike out there's parts of some roads that don't get any sun at this time of year so will still be frozen from when they were damp earlier in the week.

This evening I must remember to put the recycling bin out front ready for emptying on Monday morning.

That's the last of the posh M&S chocolate biscuits with have at Christmas all done. :mrpig:

I'm trying to resist opening the chocolates. Once that pack seal is broken...

Just taken out my pie from the oven only to find the top has come off.

That is better than having a soggy bottom!

A couple of inches of snow this morning. The roads were very bad.

I did very little today apart from a long walk around the town and the park. Almost fell a few times on ice. I always wonder why the council are so diligent to treat the roads to help drivers but do absolutely nothing to the pavements.

Otherwise, I read a bit and sat watching the birds on the bird feeder I have on my balcony.

My usual Sunday music gig has been cancelled for this week due to the weather.

I think I will put my baby oak trees into bigger pots. Amazing how quickly they've grown.

It's been a brrrrrrrrrrrrrright and chillllllllllllllllllllllllly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well enough. Curled up in bed listening to the cricket, and I just dozed off to the dulcet tones of the commentators. Woke up with a start when the day's play was abandoned due to rain. So grabbed a hot water bottle and went back to sleep. And slept till half eleven.

Took advantage of the good daylight to do some lumberjilling / firewood after doing all the basic chores.

Had a lovely luncheon of a chunk of pork pie, toast, the last of the smoked salmon pate, an apple, a banana and a :cuppa:

Then back outside to finish off what I wanted to do. Except I ran out of fuel for the chainsaw and daylight, so just stacked what I cut in the garage, and I will finish the task when on Tuesday most like. I also cut some slabs of burr ash after I noticed some lovely bits whilst doing the firewood - I will dry these in the house, and then turn them into charcuterie / cheese boards.

Cat has been fed (Encore chicken shreds in jelly) and soon it will be time to feed me. Part of supper is in the oven.
