Morning. We have to take our daughter to the hospital to restart her treatment again. We might be there for 4 or 5 hours. If it was in the summer I could have a nap in the car.
Time for me to look out the square window
Was Stonehenge really just a garden makeover as it has a rockery and a pergola?![]()
Stonehenge is a real mystery we still have no idea just what it was for. English Heritage are learning new stuff all the time, recent digs have shown that it was most likely built with winter solstice being seen as more important. Large number of animal bones buried at that end makes them believe that animal sacrifice was often done at that end. One thing they do know and have studied widely is the large number of human bones on the site. Which has formed bigger working idea for the over all site as possibly being some sort of elaborate burial ground.

I was wondering if a zoo would use a barcode reader on Zebra's when they did an audit?![]()
Recently they have found that the whole area was encircled by a number of huge pits, 15 metres in diameter by 5 metres deep. The circle was I think 1 mile in diameter. They have only taken core samples at the moment.
What interests me is were they all dug at the same time and what did they do with the soil they dug out of them? It is easy for them to just say that they scattered the spoil but that is a lot of spoil to get rid of. The pits were eventually filled in so where did they get the soil to fill them in? If they hadn't left the spoil as a heap they will now have to dig a pit to fill the pit in?![]()
No, all the counting had to be done manually.I was wondering if a zoo would use a barcode reader on Zebra's when they did an audit?![]()
