Had a lovely day judging at the Bedford & District, Bucks, Oxon & Berks, and Tabby Point Siamese joint shows in Bracknell on Saturday. OK, I could've done with a submarine on the way down (the M25 was horrendous), but that aside, I really enjoyed myself. Had some super cats on my book - some familiar furry faces and some totally new to me.

My favourite cats of the day was a lovely non-ped tortie & white, a seal tabby point Birman and a black tortie Devon Rex.

Spent all of yesterday writing up my reports, and then spent a little while this afternoon polishing and such. I fired them off to the GCCF webmistress just over an hour ago, so with luck, they'll be up online tonight.

I also watched the Superbowl last night, and *my* team won.

A choresy day today, catching up on the stuff I didn't do yesterday. I had thought of doing some lumberjilling today, but my back was spasming all night, and so a) I was uncomfortable, and b) I didn't get much in the way of sleep. But I do have a reserve stash of wood that's easy to access and cut up, so I'll be able to top up my store.

I'm now sat by the fire with a and watching the curling.

Good morning from a fourth floor hotel room in partially sunny Lincoln.

Coffee has been had and after a shower I'm off into town for breakfast and more coffee followed by trains from here to Retford, Leeds and finally Harrogate where my 61st cake day will be celebrated with more beer & food.

Wondering how GB could have played so well in the round robin, finishing as top seed, and now they're playing so badly...

Still having fun with our new Finance System at work. Finally got sent a huge report with all the transactions on (we've not had any real reports so have been running blind). Anyway, literally five minutes of poking has found two major material errors. This is to do with receipting orders. Someone receipted £180k and not £1.8k on an order, then someone else has receipted an order 6 times, for £50k, meaning were something like £400k out. It appears to be coming from one Team, so we can at least find the culprit and get it fixed.

Can happen at times once the pressure is off teams start to think the jobs done. Once it sets in you've a hell of a job pulling it back.

Evening.
I have been a bit busy today. Putting away our suitcase, doing a bit more artwork and a bit of bike tinkering. We had a bit of sunshine this afternoon. It was grey but dry this morning but still really cold working outside on my bike. Ive had2 naps this afternoon.
Last night Georgie had us worried. He was very actively playing with my shoes. We thought that he had caught a mouse and had brought it in. Luckily it was his toy mousey. He enjoys putting things in my shoes and trying to get them out again.
