Resting up after a nice late afternoon walk round Kensington gardens. On way round said hello to the famous 5 , a group of over 150 year old house chestnuts but with a twist. They are all female so have double flowers so don’t produces house chestnuts.

Those must be some pretty big trees if they can produce houses instead of conkers!

"Green Signals Quiz"

Last week's question was "which station has three different names?" The answer was Goathland, which I think someone on here got right*. It was called "Aidensfield" in "Heartbeat" and something else in those films with platform six and a quarter (?)
Harry Potts?

This weeks question is about stations that are spelled completely different to how it sounds. There must be lots of those in Scotland and Wales. Not forgetting in Switzerland where Brig is pronounced Breeeeeeg. ^_^
You mean *this post?

Sowerby Bridge, Mytholmroyd...

Pity they are not doing a close orbit. Images of a lunar rover abandoned on the surface will shut the sceptics up*.

Drizzly morning. Shopping definite needs were bread for toasting, oranges and bananas.
3 packs of yellow label scones however were also acquired from M&S.
Morrisons was the rare visit for the fruit as they had postie deliver a leaflet in the week with a couple of vouchers in it. £5 off £25 being used.
Seem to have got rid of the hand scanners so added up mentally as I went round. As usual chilled goods beyond their use date on the shelf which deterred a purchase.
Total just exceeded the voucher valid price by 18p.
*Maybe that's why there's no close pass planned!

Woke up to find I'm a company director. Not my plan. Mugged at the shareholders meeting .

Are modern cycle manufacturers embarrassed by their bikes?
When I'm out and see another bike I'm often curious as to what make and model it is. It has become increasingly difficult as a lot of the bikes are a dull Matt finish with the brand in a matching colour.

On my club's ride this morning someone has one of the new Rose bikes. The only branding on a matt white frame is a vague R on the head tube.

That's what happens when you buy a new suit: people suddenly think you're management material.

I ended up being the chair of a motorbike blood bike charity, despite not actually having a motorbike.

I have to say, Southampton played well, in a direct, long ball kind of way. And it worked. Anyhow, you support Arsenal, not AssumeAll. There are a couple of other big opportunities for you this season.

Yeah, fair game to the Saints, they did play better than us. Didn't help that the defence had bigger holes than Sig Hansen's crab pots. Max Dowman played a blinder though, and Gyokeres bagged another goal.

We better improve on Tuesday against Sporting.

Happy Easter, even though I have not reached dinner time on Holy Saturday. Chinese takeaway, as i don't have to help with Vigil and the rest this year. After an hour's drive each way through and to the middle of the state, I have returned with a very nice recumbent bicycle, which has already been ridden on the indoor trainer. I think the most wear this bicycle has had is from dust falling on it. And me today.
