Nissan Sunderland is now talking to Chinas Chery, utilisation at Sunderland below 50%. Some sort of partnership looks essential.
Chery already owns the Nissan South Africa factory. However, any full UK takeover/partnership would certainly need a big reversing move from UK government to be viable long term.
Chery may be interested as it would mean they bypass import taxes. Nissan, despite their Renault collaboration, needs additional support and Chery might be eyeing up a cheap purchase.

Had a Teams meeting moment when it all went blank. Turned out my mistake I switched the PSU on for the wrong laptop. A good few minutes later the Teams meeting returned.

I have no idea on certainties but collabartion might be a starter, them likely punting on closer EU ties or a full Brexit reversal.
