Good morning from a mostly sunny but still not warm Suffolk. Coffee and a lie in have been had while a load of cycle clothing is being dealt with by the washing machine.

Looks like a lovely day for a slower paced ride once I've got myself going later on this morning. There's a backlog of podcasts that I'd like to catch up with so I'll break out the Shokz headphones and make for the quieter areas.

waited most of the day for the electrician to arrive. 90 minutes later he wasn't able to figure out where the stray voltage is coming from or how to eliminate it. he was able to confirm w/ a neighbor that it's our whole 6 unit building & not just ours. although he tried everything he could& a colleague could think of to troubleshoot the issue, within our unit

I truly believe they are gonna have to dig up that trench outside to figure out what happened

or at least check out this disconnected wire?

he didn't even look intuit circular plastic electric box ;-( I asked him if they could double check the work in the trench & he said "well I'm not digging that up"

Some weather forecasts predicted a dry day; its raining. Was sunny this morning and the , washing dried quickly. Lidl shopped. Noted most of the cycle stands were obstructed by bags of compost .
Visited the local ebike shop to see if they had any ideas re changing the handlebar controller of my ebike, suggested I contacted a newly open Giant store in Leeds.

There's no wind here in Stornoway.
I did a loop today around the black house village and Callinish standing stones, back to Stornoway via the the alternative single track option.

Very enjoyable day, even if it's not huge in terms of distance.

I'm having dinner here, and a woman is arguing with the barman because the blackboard outside says music 9pm to 12am, and she says that means music all night until midday tomorrow. What do they teach people in school nowadays?
