I had the same blowing hot problem with my car yesterday. It's picked a fine time to fail!

The first place I went to get my air con recharged said that both their machines had packed up due to over use.

That is exactly what mine did - been working fine then noticed last weekend there was a slight noise on start up. Wasn't super cool on the drive home yesterday, then I roasted going to the supermarket - looked under the bonnet, and the pipes were warm, and not cold. £135 to re-gas at the dealership. Checked on-line and this is about average cost for the newer refrigerant.

I got MrsPete's present car & my previous one re-gassed via a Hroupon deal. Can't remember what it cost exactly but low £40's comes to mind..
It's a shame us 'umans, cannot get re-gassed at 70,or a computer re-boot.This slight surgery and heat has knocked me for six, tired and lethargic.Mind you i have done some housework and cleaning.Right all mundaneness is reported.

Well... Went shopping at Morrisons.. All the chillers were down so no butter, juice or yoghurts etc so only half the list was got.

No problem.. Off to Tesco.. Chillers down so nothing there either plus the escalators were broken down, too 🤷‍♂️

Must be a 'thing' - local Co-Op near work - all fridges and freezers are off.

I've used the DIY kits previously on an old car, but the newer gas is double the price for a re-gas. Getting it done at the dealer as the car is under extended warranty should any of the 'components' be at fault.
