Snake shed its skin?

It was the bomb at the end of @PeteXXX road.

Had a lovely luncheon of two slices of wholemeal toast, one with pate, one with cheddar & chutney, plus an apple, a banana and the obligatory two :cuppa:

Wood bins in the house all topped up, I've had a bit of a pamper session and I've added some more detail to some parts of my archive after the three stock car programmes I won in a Bay of E auction last week turned up.

I am really beginning to tighten up the history of the ex- Howard Cole / Ian Thompson car from the spring of 1983 through to the late summer / early autumn of 1984. I have no evidence of it beyond that, which points to it having been laid-up rather than sold and raced - it is a very distinctive car, and unlike Howard's later builds, was a complete one-off that was progressively modified over time. It wasn't scrapped, because it is currently being restored to its original specification.

Now sat by the fire with a :cuppa: and a biskit.

I've just had to sit through some training as it's 'compulsory' to undertake the training in order to do a specific, very small role. Despite trying to state I understood what I'm being trained on, the trainer continued through their clearly pre-written script.

Only when they got a bit stuck on something complex did I comment: "Don't worry, I helped design this. I'm fine ... this is how that bit works ..."
Been there, done that, re-written the training material for them.

What a miserable day - it started out grey & damp and stayed like that. There was what looked like a break in the drizzle around midday, so I went out to get a bit of shopping by bike only for the wetness to start up again on the way home. At least the bedding got changed and the removed stuff washed, the vacuuming done, the kitchen floor cleaned and the bath & bog got a bit of a scrubbing.

Now enjoying a hot chocolate before an earlyish night as it's back to work tomorrow.
