I was round your neck of the woods yesterday,@Reynard when we got passed by a gorgeous Lotus 11 in British Racing Green. I was driving in fairly heavy traffic so I couldn't get a proper look at the details but my brother told me it had Le Mans and a year painted on the side. Not sure of the exact year but it must have been late 50s. I thought about you as it headed east on the A14.

I was good at maths until the lessons on integration and differentiation. One of them got a WTF response - in simple terms it seemed to be a case of guessing at the answer and working back to the question. Maybe I got that wrong but it was a brick wall I never got beyond.

I was much like that, it's always bugged me.

I have a suspicion it had more to do with approximation than the process.

I do believe it has finally stopped raining. There was a short gap just after midday where it abated to just spotting with rain so I took the opportunity to pop out and get the weekend's food & drink in, plus a mother's day card. I'd completely forgotten about mother's day and it was only the display of flowers in Morrisons that made me check the date.

This weekend will mostly be spent in front of the television due to being a complete anorak (see here)

I've got a TT tomorrow, so I pulled out the TT helmet from the box it's in. And found a used gel wrapper in there xx(

Now my last few TT's were lumpy or just post-Covid, so I used a road helmet. And therefore it must have been in there since last May. Well matured then ...

Had a lovely luncheon of tatamasalata on toast, the last of the wensleydale with the last of the cream crackers, plus a tangerine, a pear and two :cuppa:

I have spent the afternoon writing. Am working with a character who can be succinctly described as a "teenage tart" in the timeline the current action is taking place in. In a different timeline, she becomes the bitter ex-wife. Am using some of my school classmates as a model for the former, and elements of a true story involving a former racing driver for the latter.

Now sat down with a :cuppa: and a Mr Kipling angel slice. I picked up the box for 14p on yellow sticker. Ye gods, they're vile. xx(

Forgot to add to the important debate about microwave cookers.
Mine reverses if turned off and then on at any time. A complete rotation takes 22 seconds ie the handle of a large mug starting at the door and being turned off on coming round again. This measurement is 3 inches from the centre.
I should not have attempted to get into this as it is getting too technical for my poor brain.

And that 1 rotation at full power is enough to warm a tepid cup of coffee.
