Finally! Happy cakeday @Reynard and @raleighnut 🥳 🍰 hope you have great days.

Blue skies turning grey here with impressive speed. The Mister is away for work so it’s just me and the various human and feline girls for Mothering Sunday. I was going to go out on the bike but am a little stiff from a 12 mile walk yesterday. Plus I should really wait for Hebe Jnr to wake up so she can make me a Mothering Sunday Though I might have to make one myself in the meantime.

A nice 20 chilly miles completed and had the delights of a lamb soundtrack in stereo it was fantastic 😊

Dry so far this morning but rain forecast for later.
Touroid getting a drubbing again for inconsiderate driving and parking of cars and motorhomes.
I was once driving the 50 miles home from Bunessan when on coming round a blind corner there was a car completely blocking the road. No movement so I blew my horn as I was frightened I would get shunted from behind on this blind corner. Somebody got out of the car and told me to shush as I would frighten the birds they were watching.
BEEEEP.
This kind of behaviour is still going on and causing increasing anger locally.

I'm confused: we always keep a card receipt, and if the customer wants one they get a copy. Isn't this the case in the UK?

That is what happens in my experience.

Depends most fixed card machine now just recored a transaction without the paper. It simply show at the bottom of your normal receipt. Handheld still print ones off, in my mates case it was a good few years ago. What was going on was the machine printed both the merchants copy and customer copy. She was putting the merchants one in till but not handing over the customer ones.

In store's I know still use two I always ask for it and watch them clearly put the merchants copy in the till and close it.
Apple pay has just about killed off the need for any paper to be printed off for me. Or leaving anyone with much usable card information. Using an App only bank mean's it every transaction instantly show on my phone and so if anything happens that's not me. With one tap I can lock my card.

Happy cake day to one and all.We are going out for a family walk.No church,but coffee and cakes after the walk.Weather is superb here in Meanwood.Have a great day we are also eating out Cozy Club it has gluten free food.Finally tonight last beer of the weekend.Guinness West Indian Porter.I feel this might be the best of the three purchased.

More like that I'm glad it didn't fail on the 50k ride I'd done last Sunday when it must have broken as the chain started skipping, let alone the 28 mile round trip commute mid week.
