Windy as forecast and up to 58mph about now but the sun is shining.
The sea water level in the bay has risen as pushed up the Sound by the wind and there is mild flooding on the main car park and lipping on the the Main St.
Sandbags will be out.
My workshop was on the main car park and nothing electrical or indeed anything critical was below 3ft above floor level. This policy paid off as we were flooded a few times over the years. We also lived down there and the water level in the downstairs loo was just lipping the edge on a couple of occasions.
Got a phone call on my landline yesterday inviting me to what my wife described as "that hell hole" in Craignure to have a consultation with the head man in the General Surgery dept of Oban hospital about my gastric reflux. This will be early tomorrow.

Changed the dressing, partly because the other one was saturated and blood was still running out of it, but also because I had to change my bag, so crap and an open wound... Interesting!

And yes, I washed my hands thoroughly before you ask! 😆

won't list what I've been doing w/Son & the cars under his consideration. are you in the market? I'm sure the models in the UK are vasty different & much more economical, fuel-wise

Rav 4 Hybrid, I have driven most of these and find it best, although others at work hate it. Have you looked at Ford Bronco? Looks intriguing, Fords and I are not the best of friends, historically.

I would also be remiss not to recommend Nissan Pathfinder.

Thank you @Speicher . We were planning on taking the boat over and walking back. The weather is a tad blowy so we'll check to see if the boat is running today. 👍

The Marina, where the boat arrives, is near a Water Sports Centre which has a cafe. So you should be able to get a cup of tea/coffee while you wait. Or even a scone or cake.

I find it much quieter to stay in Portinscale and go into Keswick, or other places, rather than stay in Keswick.
