Getting fed up of weekend working was one of the reasons I took partial retirement last year and I don't miss it one bit.

See at school, when we did either table tennis or badminton in P.E., I was often told to go and practice with hitting the ball/shuttlecock off the wall and trying to keep it bouncing with the paddle or racket.

In every occasion, that wall won!

When you can barely catch anything, that you were picked last for everything, same with football and the foot eye coordination... Oh and NEVER put me in goal!

When one of your highest achievements in P.E. was nearly scoring a goal in Hockey, I said 'nearly'... Then, THEN, you had bad hand eye coordination! 😆

got to play in the new car today. it even rained a little & I realized I forgot to take my nice $$ wiper blades that I bought last autumn when I traded my old car. I grabbed the all weather mats but forgot the blades. oh well $40 later I can see in the rain again

Well, it was good to get out and watch some racing this afternoon, but the weather was somewhat chageable. One minute bright sunshine the next a heavy downpour and repeat all afternoon along with blustery winds. In the end I gave up and left before the last couple of races and I intend to spend Sunday in the warmth of the bike shed with the racing being live streamed on my Chromebook via YouTube.

It was in Epee - where the target is the whole body. I guess, being short, there was much less of me to hit, and somewhat more of the opponent.

Don't ask me to catch anything, because I'm guaranteed to drop it.

Sorry folks, I sloped off to watch the E-Prix from Sao Paulo. Good race and all, though my regard for Dan Ticktum has now gone from the fifth level of hell to the seventh. What *WAS* he thinking... As Jake Dennis so eloquently put... Plonker.

Soup and pasta bake for supper. The girls shared a can of Gourmet Gold.

At the penultimate round of the season at Silverstone, Ticktum got involved in an incident with Ricky Collard on the opening lap, which dropped him to the back of the field. During the ensuing safety car period he purposely overtook several cars to crash into Collard, taking both out of the race. This saw him receive a two-year ban from motorsport, of which one year was a suspended ban, as well as a disqualification from the event's results.[10] Following the incident, Ticktum labelled himself "a fool" and apologised to his fellow drivers and the track marshals at the circuit.

Well it's only a little over 90 minutes away on two wheels.
