Dry day in prospect and according to the forecast sunny for he rest of the week.
Message on my answering machine from a GP who mumbled his name that they would like me to come in for a chat regarding my last bloods but nothing to worry about.
In any case there is to be another change to my medication so I suppose I had better make an appointment.
If I knew I would live this long I might have taken better care of myself.

I do not really want to prolong the discussion about card payment but there seems to be a feeling that the customer is being ripped off by having to pay cash.
In the case of our shop which was really my wife’s business the bank at one point was taking 5% off any card sales. That is a lot for a small business and cash handling was nowhere near that amount.
At the same time large businesses were paying a fraction of 1% to the bank and obviously with higher sales figures more cash would indeed cost more for them.
It is very easy to criticise but a small business does not have an easy life and profit can be very slim unless carefully managed.

Good morning all. It's a lovely sunny morning here in Suffolk and I can feel one of my bike ride, pub lunch, train home afternoons coming on.

Tomorrow's excitement will be the opening of a new bottle of Vitamin D tablets.

I'm back at work and so far the food shopping's been delivered, which is helpful as son no. 2 ate the two week's worth of fridge and freezer contents whilst we were away for four days, and I've dealt with most of the backlog of e-mails. Messages sent to staff and students, just the daily catch-up to do before a lecture later.

Starting to pack my tiny cabin bag for our short trip to Amsterdam on Thursday. Sleasy jet keep sending me emails 'You are travelling light, would you like a bigger bag for ££££'s ?'.

No we are definitely travelling light. Just how much do I need for 5 days ? It's not as though we are going to Outer Mongolia, they have shops !

Weather iffy in Leeds.It is not as forecasted,no sun that is coming full on tomorrow.The day of my ride.I am so excited.Nobody is having any of my time tomorrow.No gardening,painting,volunteering nothing.I am going to start being mean with my time.I have given so much of myself I am feeling tired ,yesterday I turned off in church.There is going to be more me mine in future.I am thinking of dropping out of helping.Cycling and my well being is more important.Look out Tuesday.Bicycle,scenery latte and exercise plus sunshine what a day.

I discovered yesterday on my travels that Ramsgate harbour does no sailings at all any more. Such a waste.
