Morning.
It is sort of grey here. It seems to be dry but haven't really looked . I would like to go for a bike ride but not sure what we are doing .

We took our grandson to the model railway exhibition yesterday. Not sure if we have put him off going to another forever! It was busy ! I should imagine that there were a couple of thousand people there by the number of cars parked outside .
He seemed to like one small exhibit which another child of his age seemed very interested in . It was a small railway above a cutaway section of the earth with a fossilized dinosaur halfway down and what appeared to be a flying saucer also hurried . Above ground was a normal working railway scene. It was working which was my main criticism of the exhibition.
It was boring mainly due to the fact that there wasn't much going on ! It's a wonder that cobwebs hadn't formed on some of the locos! Lovely crafted exhibits but nothing moving apart from the people behind the scenes and not much interaction from them . I did have a brief chat with one chap who seemed to be making a coach out of wood and trying to drill a hole in to it without a drill. I have been to other shows and had communication and a laugh with people behind the scenes but it was silence yesterday. My wife took our grandson back to the car after a while whilst I had a quick look round . I bought a small car on one stand for him to play with .

Just to add to what I said previously . Several years ago a friend and I were looking at a large N gauge layout. One of the chaps behind the scenes chatted with us about the different locos they were running . He mentioned that at one event he noticed that one of the visitors was actually writing down the numbers of the locos that he had seen ! Scaled down train spotting!
