Warm, breezy and mostly sunny here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept ok-ish. Spent the morning having a lovely walk with a friend and her dogs, then popped in to vote on the way home, and also stopped by the book swap. Came home with five books - two cook books (one on regional American burgers and the other on Chinese cooking), a large picture book on WW2, two novels, one a historical novel on Richard the Lionheart which I think mum will enjoy, plus a copy of The Handmaid's Tale which I quite fancy reading, and one of those PG Tips albums on the history of flight. The album was complete, so worth taking, but I do think I actually have this one - I have a whole box of them.

Had a lovely luncheon of taramasalata on wholemeal toast, plus a pear, a banana and two :cuppa:

Now about to slope off and do some more gardening.

Legs are out, now I really must put some clothes on for the Coronation.

or maybe some sunscreen?

is there a term for dyslexia
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words (decoding). Also called a reading disability, dyslexia is a result of individual differences in areas of the brain that process language.

combined with dementia
Dementia is not a specific disease but is rather a general term for the impaired ability to remember, think, or make decisions that interferes with doing everyday activities. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. Though dementia mostly affects older adults, it is not a part of normal aging.

combined with micro manager
A micromanager is a boss or manager who gives excessive supervision to employees. A micromanager, rather than telling an employee what task needs to be accomplished and by when—will watch the employee's actions closely and provide frequent criticism of the employee’s work and processes.

which is the owner of the company I work for. I am 2 steps down from him. our General Manager is between us. but his Secretary also serves as a buffer zone. but for the most part, I want to jump out the window. but it won't do any good, because my office is on the 1st floor

blessed with work, I am

Today has been a bit of a shambles.
First off drive 21 miles for a ferry which cannot take vehicles. Argyll &Bute Council to blame.
Try to rebook and the only booking I could get was next Thursday at times which do not really suit but only ones available.
Get a hospital appointment letter which has taken 2 weeks to get here so back to the office to book for that.
Michelle does the booking which strangely is ok for times and explains about a new paper free system which will be operational.
Check the bits of paper when I get home and realise she has not taken my age discount into consideration so overcharged.
I though the prices had gone up but on checking that is not the case.
Back to the office to get the difference credited to my card and more about the paper free system which assumes everyone has a smart phone.
Totally bamboozled by the explanations but I will just turn up and bluff my way through as the silly old buffer. I do have a paper print out she gave me and the bit about silly old buffer is not far from the truth.

Two things I forgot to mention on my dog walk in & around Brixworth this morning.
1: I collected a bag of sheep's wool, off some fencing, which is now on the fence at the bottom of my garden ready to be snaffled by nesting birds.

2: I walked past a garage on the old, long bypassed, main road and they pump the fuel for you!! I can't remember the last time I saw anything other than self serve ⛽
