Been out for a walk , came home turn the internet back on and found it's stop working. Phoned to report after a bit of a battle with the Indian call centre and a few remote tests later. Told It needs an engineer to come and sort it can't get an appointment till Monday.
Good job we can tether and have plenty of data to go round.

Thunder seems be approaching, it's getting very dark and the lights may have to go on soon. eBay purchased watch strap arrived complete with a tool for pushing the plungers in and an alternative gold buckle:okay:

Stayed dry most of today except for a shower when I had to go out to the dentist.
She was very chatty as usual and we talked about bikes and trikes as well as diversions into whisky and knitwear.
Sorted the filling which was missing and warned if it gave trouble an extraction was inevitable.
All this for no charge.
The sheep in the field opposite seem to have a circuit and end the day at the road end of the field while the lambs play on a rocky mound jumping off a high bit and running round to do it again. A bit like human small children really.

Not sure about pud yet. Possibly Apple Fritters 👌

Of course, what the rabble rousing types don't realise, is that this will also be the point of the congestion charge...

Yep.

Thing is, Cambridge is a small city which simply can't cope with the volume of traffic. The bus services are good, but tend to get stuck in said traffic. I usually ride in, either from the P&R or from Cambridge North station.

Parking in Cambridge is an arse - lots of double yellow lines everywhere, so you've got to pay to park at the Grafton or wherever (spendy). The advantage of a bike is that there's plenty of street furniture to lock it to near wherever you have to go, or plenty of bike racks if you're in the city centre, so no time wasted looking for a space etc. Plus there's plenty of cycle lanes, they're largely well signposted and it never takes that long to get to where you're going.

Although on a day like today where it's been pishing with rain, a bike is maybe not the favoured option LOL.

Crikey North Yorkshire Council appear to be going to go ahead with a cycling improvement in Harrogate:ohmy: Narrowing the horrible two lane southbound A61 pass the bus and train stations to one with a bi-directional separate cycle lane provided.
The motoring community has not helped itself by not only opposing the lane reduction but also wanting the southbound A61 to share the northbound route alongside the Stray and pass Betty's; aka TdF TdY UCI finish lines, which would be a single lane each way.
