Decided my bike needed a new chain Quick links ,don’t make me laugh.Took me ages to get the two sides to line up and click in to position👹👹👹👹

In the good old days part of my toolkit was a nail and a suitable size nut. A roadside stone was used as a hammer to push the pin out. I did use it successfully when it was needed on a 1/8th inch chain.
Horrors that would have been 70 years ago.

I think I passed through just in time!
It was around four years ago, early June, but I arrived in Craignure quite early and left for Kilchoan by the first ferry ⛴

That was indeed early and probably only commuter traffic going mainly north with some for a morning ferry off at Craignure going the other way.
Most touroid would still be having their breakfast. It was noticeable from our shop that the street became almost empty of cars at our end anyway about 9.30 to 1000 as they all went off wherever they were going about then.
The increase in numbers since the end of the worst of the pandemic is ridiculous.
Just now even as a foot passenger you have to book in advance or you do not get on board.
As an aside I am shortly going to cause them a problem as I want to know how they will treat a recumbent Kettwiesel with e assist.
Waiting till the present furore dies down a bit.
